Four Worlds is an Indigenous-led, nonprofit international organization, founded in 1982 by Chief Phil Lane Jr. and forty Indigenous Elders.
Four Worlds was established to address the deep social, cultural, and ecological challenges facing Indigenous communities and humanity as a whole. Guided by Indigenous spiritual and natural law, the Institute introduced The Fourth Way—a path beyond assimilation, resignation, and resistance—focused instead on healing, empowerment, and constructive development.
Over the past four decades, Four Worlds has supported community transformation efforts around the world, helping restore cultural identity, strengthen local leadership, and build sustainable, self-determined futures.
